This debut album by the young English folk singer Kate Rusby comes across the water with enormous hype behind it, so one's first impulse is to listen with a little cynicism. But from the first track she takes that impulse and demolishes it - or, more accurately, sings and rocks it gently to sleep. Нет оценок. Having previously bought Kate Rusby's first Christmas album, I already knew that I loved her voice and her taste in material. I decided to take a chance on this album and was richly rewarded. I Am Stretched On Your Grave may be the most haunting song I have ever heard. The rest of the album is likewise superb, with a wonderful assortment of upbeat tunes and slower ballads. Hourglass is amazing.
